Release notes

Changelog

What changed in each version of eudaemon.

1.6.0

Latest
  • The notification system has been rewritten from scratch: more reliable reminders, and no more cap on how many you can have.
  • Change day with a swipe left or right. Turn it off in Settings → Navigation.
  • On future days you now see how far away the day is and how many habits are scheduled, instead of a progress ring.
  • Cards light up when you complete a habit, and slide down with an animation if “move completed to the bottom” is on.
  • The per-habit calendar is brand new: a wall of squares that scrolls endlessly into the past and the future, with the month always shown and a button to jump back to today.
  • Statistics finally show completed days for low-priority habits too.
  • Backup to your own Google Drive, optional and encryptable.
  • Reorganised backup screen, with the list of available backups and one tap to restore.
  • The daily backup is portable (JSON) and readable on a new phone.
  • Mood and diary entries can no longer be recorded on future days.

If you use the Google Drive backup: to keep up with Google’s new rules we had to change the way the app connects to your account. A small Google window showing your email will appear for a couple of seconds when you open the Backup page, and once a day when you start the app. It closes by itself, you don’t have to do anything, and your data still goes only to your own Drive.
