Achievements

Achievements are free. You open them from the side menu, or from the menu of a habit to go straight to its own.

The page has three boards:

• Highlights: the newest medals.
• Your habits: one row per habit.
• Your journey: the medals that look at the whole app.

The shelves of a habit

Each habit has its medals grouped on shelves:

• Days: days completed.
• Check-ins: single check-ins. It appears only on habits that can be ticked more than once a day.
• Streak: consecutive days.
• Perfection: weeks and months with no gaps.
• Special: Mastered, and Finished well for habits with an end date.

Each shelf has a title that changes as you go: Beginner, Steady, Determined, Master, Legend.

Medals come from your history

Medals do not start from zero. They are worked out from the completions already recorded, each with the date it was reached.

So the board is already full on the day you update, and a restored backup brings the medals back by itself.

Paused days are skipped here too, as in streaks and statistics.

Mastered habits

After a streak of 66 days a habit counts as Mastered and gets a golden border on its card.

The 66 comes from a study by University College London. It is a median, with very different times from one person to another, not a guaranteed threshold.

The border can be turned off:

Settings → App → Behaviour → Interface → Golden border on mastered habits

In All habits you can filter and sort by Mastered.

Your journey

Your journey holds the medals of the whole app: total completions, mastered habits, perfect days, days with Eudaemon.

They follow a different rule from habit medals. Once won, they stay, even if you delete the habits that earned them. Only a complete deletion in Delete data removes them.

The medals of a single habit go away with the habit.

Looking at the medals

Every medal is hand-drawn. Press and hold one to see it enlarged.

To use plain icons instead of the drawings, turn on Simple badges:
